C6 Navi Uhrzeit neu Installieren
Beitragvon milti Z » 09.11.19, 11:42
Vorgehensweise zur Neuinstallierung der verschwundenen C6 Navi Uhrzeit.
Hier ist die Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung:
Klicken Sie auf den folgenden Link und laden Sie die Datei herunter:
https://tis2web.akamai.gm.com/radio/cor ... 10_fix.zip

Hello all you C6 owners with NAVIGATION!!!
We all know the issues with the clocks going blank, well, here is the fix from Corvette engineering
Click the link below and download the file.
https://tis2web.akamai.gm.com/radio/..._05_10_fix.zip UNZIP THE FILE BEFORE you Burn the LOADING.KWI to a BLANK CD-R. Once this is completely burned and finished, go to your Corvette
#1 Make sure the vehicle is outside and the engine is running.
#2 On the radio display, press the Open/Close Faceplate Key
#3 Eject the map disc by pressing DVD Map Database Eject Key. Insert the Software Update Disc in the DVD Map Database Slot
The update will start automatically. You will see a progress bar on the screen. The update takes about 2 minutes. The vehicle logo will be seen once the update is completed.
Once you see the Corvette logo, remove the update disc and REINSTALL YOUR MAP DISC!
THIS IS NOT A MAP UPDATE< THIS IS ONLY FOR YOUR CLOCK BEING BLANK!
If you have any further questions, please post up.
EDIT: Technical service bulletin 16-NA-262 has been updated as of Nov 15, 2019 with the Corvette service procedure if you would like to have your dealership reference the GM document!
Allthebest, and THANK YOU TO CORVETTE ENGINEERING for this fix, Paul

Just installed on my 2007 Z51 Coupe. Clock was still working but I need to disconnect the battery to do some work. Install went well, however my NAV display has a black background much link it previously worked at night. It as still daylight 3PM EST in North Carolina. It is possible that this is the normal setting for NAV's newer than 2007. I have yet to find a way to go back to the brighter screen but may not be possible with this newer level of firmware.
Anyone else see this on a 2005-2007?
Update! When I drove the car into a brightly lite garage the NAV screen went back to normal. That car must have been in enough shade to fool the light sensor.

HI there,
Give it up to 20 mins to accept the disc and do the lay out, no need to fold the door back up.
Let us know how you make out, Paul

Twenty minutes! Hokey Smoke Bullwinkle! Actually after messing with DVD-Rs and CD-Rs (Anyone need some coasters?) I finally got it functional by changing my unzip program. Worked fine! Yes, I did close the door as well. Suggest that you might want to add those two points to the instructions, the wait time and door position tho.
Anyway, thanks for the fix!
Jack

Having same problem. Used WINZIP the second time and still cannot get it to load. Which UNZIP program did you use?

I see a lot of your threaders are having trouble unzipping and getting the file to the CD. Windows 10 will not automatically do that anymore. You need to use a third party burner like Cyberlink or what ever app is on the computer. I Yanked my new Kenwood DNX996XR out just to see if this would work. It loaded, updated and the Corvette logo reappeared but unfortunately the time on the clock DID NOT. I waited a few minutes to see if it would calibrate but didn't. Pulled it out and reinstalled my new one. It obviously took the software update and did not respond to a second attempt to install it. That was a waste of an hour. Any ideas why it did not respond as expected?

Very interesting, as I used the Window PRO 10 operating system.
I do not know if that has a correlation or not.
I will put some feelers out and repost up.

Hey F4Jock, You are probably trying to load the "folder" instead of the "file". You need to transfer the LOADING.KWI file ONLY to a blank disc. You can burn it or rip it using a third party program that is probably already on your computer. Windows Media won't do it. Mine came with Cyberlink and it burned it. Hope you understand that and hope it fixes your issue.

I did use the unzipped file for LOADING.KWI on Windows 7. Used two different unzip programs. Also did an unzip on my MAC. None of the programs would load.

Did mine yesterday. Worked perfectly
- Windows 10 Enterprise v1809
- 7zip
- Extracted just the file to the ROOT folder of a BLANK CD-R
Ensure it is a CD-R and not a CD-RW or DVD-RW. Also ensure you "Finalize" the disk so that it can take no more writes. Many non-computers don't like un-finalized disks
